The Next Step Team are proud to introduce Sairah to the industry!  Sairah is based in the North East, with Newcastle-upon-Tyne as the closest cosmopolitan city with direct trains to London.

An HR professional and anti-bullying consultant and specialist by day, a dance fitness professional with a plethora of presentation skills by night!  Sairah currently works in HR for HMRC. She is upbeat, articulate, versatile, very bubbly and passionate with a true zest for life. Honest, mature, and reliable. Striking and attractive looks, the full package, she definitely stands out! 

Her success is driven by her passion and 100% commitment to anything she embarks upon. She has published books and articles on my PhD specialist area, whilst also writing, developing, and taught undergraduate curricular courses on dance fitness programmes, 3 credits for the Department of Fitness, Exercise and Sports at New Jersey City University, NJ USA. This opportunity allowed her to be the first in the country to do so as well as drawing in the highest student enrolment throughout the entire University for 3 years due to her programmes. She was also the very first British born Pakistani female to become a BollyX instructor. Sairah is also a board-certified health and life coach focusing on domestic violence and bullying, non-physical.

Sairah’s previous presentation experience has also included being interviewed on her specialist area, bullying and racism on radio across the US, Canada as well as in the UK, whilst also hosting a major awards ceremony at the Hotel Taj Pierre in New York City, where celebrities such as Jay Sean, Ali Velshi and Congresswoman Promilla Jayapal were some of the recipients for the International Achievers Awards ceremony in 2015. She has also presented her work at anti-bullying conferences in the UK, Europe (Prague) and across the US, where Monica Lewinsky was even an attendee at one conference in New York!

No doubt, Sairah thrives where there is an audience and has presented BollyX – a unique dance fitness programme inspired by the Bollywood film industry, at festivals across New Jersey and New York to crowds of over 300 people, have had journalists attend her classes and featured in their magazines. She regularly teach BollyX to participants in the US and UK over zoom.

Sairah is an extremely hardworking and ambitious individual with the confidence and professional attitude needed to be a great model. Her unique features and qualities allow her to stand out whilst also being highly adaptable and able to fit into a range of themes, styles and looks. She possesses the ability to be captured well by cameras, often praised for being photogenic and enjoys being the humble student to the professional photographer, following instructions but adding her personal flair, which has been demonstrated in the photo shoot images attached. All of Sairah’s statistics are up to date as of June 15th 2023.

Sairah is open to all castings, but her interests lie in where she sees herself being more successful :

·        high street fashion;

·        commercial/catalogue modelling;

·        voice over work!!

Finally, as a South Asian woman born and growing up in the UK, especially in the 1970’s, 80’s and 1990’s, cultural differences always dictated restrictions in what society deemed suitable for a South Asian woman. Sairah may be accomplished academically, however, she never lost the courage to step out of the norm. At the age of 50, as a freelance model, Sairah dreams to be a voice for many South Asian women who have talents in abundance in this industry but scared to achieve their dreams!
